Santhosh Suvarna coasts through to win Triton North Cyprus $25,000 GG Super Millions

Indian poker player Santhosh Suvarna made his dream come true by winning one of the biggest pocket tournaments around the world, the Triton Super High Roller (TSHR) series organized in North Cyprus.

The $25,000 buy-in no-limit hold’em (NLH) ‘GG Super Millions’ was played among 158 players, where Suvarna remained one of the 29 players on day 2 matches. Even after winning the tournament, the top three players at the table competed for an additional $70,000, which Suvarna won.

The final winning for the player was $700,000. He also received 1,008 points on CardPlayer, where he is currently sitting at 1,416 points and is now among the top 90 players in the world. Triton Poker also congratulated Suvarna on his achievement.

Expressing his joy Suvarna said, “I’m so happy. Finally, I won this tournament,” according to the official blog.

“This tournament, big pros are playing. I’m easily learning, actually. I am watching Triton videos. Triton is the best,” he further added.

Suvarna previously operated the Rockets Poker Room in Bangalore but later shifted to Dubai, where he is working in real estate while also operating an online casino business.

The poker player has been trying to get the championship title for the past few years, reaching the final table back in September 2022 during the TSHR Series Event #5: $75K NLHE 8–Handed, where he secured eight positions.

Earlier this year, in March, Suvarna placed fourth at the TSHR Vietnam Event #7: $75K NLHE before finally winning the championship title on 11 May.

Even prior to these international events, Suvarna has taken part in popular Indian poker tournaments. In April 2017, he played the No-Limit Hold’em High Roller at the Deltin Poker Tournament in Goa and secured seventh position and a prize of $6,973.

Suvarna also took part in No-Limit High Roller at the Baazi Poker Tour, securing sixth place with $8,839 back in January 2020.
