Kick Games Studios have announced KickRummy and is planning to compete for market share in India’s expanding $1 billion real money gaming market. The app is currently launched for android users.
According to the studio, KickRummy also features different game of skill options for people to try out instead of only having one playable option at launch. The company have also listed many free and cash tournaments.
Speaking on the launch, CEO of Kick Games Studios, Kundan Kumar, said, “We are thrilled to bring KickRummy to the Indian market. Within a few days of launch, we already have over 10,000 concurrent users playing on the platform. While the numbers are terrific, we expected around 20,000-25,000 users. But I’m confident we’ll get there in the coming months. After analyzing our competitors thoroughly, we believe we’re closing the loose ends with stronger customer support and seamless payment cash-ins and outs.”
To encourage responsible gambling, KickRummy has also added various features like the opportunity to establish deposit limits and self-exclusion choices. The company also claims that the platform transactions are performed securely through industry-standard encryption.
With more than 350 million gamers in India every month, the Indian gaming industry is among one of the fastest-growing industries in the world. In 2019 alone, more than 70% of the Asian rummy traffic was from India.
According to a survey by the gaming and interactive media venture fund Lumikai, in (FY22), roughly one-fourth of Indian gamers were paying customers, demonstrating how the industry has grown to become the second-largest internet market in the world. The skill-based gaming market creates the most revenue of all in India.
Kumar said, “The gaming industry is one of the fastest growing segments of the Indian media and entertainment sector, and we’re aiming at converting rummy gaming into a passive-income market for our players by introducing higher wager returns. We are confident that KickRummy will quickly become a favorite among Indian rummy players.”
