Call of Duty (COD) has seen a lot of celebrity cameos in recent years in the game with most recent being singer Nicki Minaj. They have also partnered with Snoop Dogg earlier this year in COD Warzone but the new leaks suggest that some of the biggest names in football are joining the franchise.

Twitter user TheGhostOfHope claimed that professional football players might be coming as playable character skins in the upcoming Modern Warfare II. With the upcoming release of Warzone 2.0, Activision is busy with building various partnerships and there are chances the leaks might be true as the game’s release date is close to the FIFA World Cup 2022 and could act as a collaboration between them.

According to the leaks the upcoming operators in the game are :

  1. Aksel
  2. Connor
  3. Klaus
  4. Luna
  5. Messi
  6. Neymar
  7. Pogba
  8. Roze
  9. Reyes
  10. Gromsco

With the fame COD games have earned over the years, the leaks might become true as Messi, Neymar and Pogba are some of the most prominent figures in football. Fans who have heard about the leaks involving famous names in football are really excited about it and surely plan on getting the bundle if it releases officially although there is a chance that the players community might demand other legendary players like Ronaldo too if Activision decides to confirm the leaks.

The leaker does not have a perfect track record and there is no official statement about this from Activision, so all the leaks cannot be confirmed currently. Activision did announce that they do have big plans for COD Warzone 2.0 and Modern Warfare II as they recently also collaborated with King Kong and Godzilla in original Warzone and with Attack on Titan in COD Vanguard.
